The Curmudgeon Returneth

The New England Curmudgeon is actually RETURNING to New England this weekend.

I haven’t been back to my home state of Connecticut since I moved to North Carolina almost five years ago.  I’m acting as chauffeur for my parents, who likewise haven’t been back since they moved down south.

I’m going to take the opportunity to catch up with some friends I haven’t seen for two decades.  I am very curious to see how much things have changed, or haven’t, between us.

I’m also dying to see if any of this “Southern Exposure” has rubbed off on me, and if my friends up north will notice any differences in my speech or my mannerisms.

Of course I can mix socialization with sociology!  Wouldn’t you?
